Saturday 21 April to Sunday 27 May 2012Layered Landscapes by Mary SuttonMary's inspiration comes from roaming the Forest and the Dorset coastline; capturing landscapes, plants and wildlife the catch her eye. Her compositions are derived from photographs and her images achieved through a process of collaging papers, plastics and fabrics and then 'drawing' over them in machine stitch. She says of her work "I find that through layers of sheer fabrics, I can create a sense of depth and atmosphere as with painting". |
